Adorable Bee Themed Decor Using Dollar Tree Items.

Updated: Jun 6, 2022

I promised I would be back with a new Diy. Actually sooner then I thought. I'm in the process of putting together my Summer Tiered Tray. I chose the popular bee theme. I still need a few items to fill it so today I had time to create. I was able to squeeze in two bee projects. A accent for my tiered tray and a table top piece. I used a variety of Dollar Tree items including their 2022 Farmhouse Calender. So lets start with the tiered tray accent. To create this I used a mini 3x3 frame and thumbnail bee image from the back of the 2022 calendar. Both of them are from Dollar Tree. The frame was sprayed in a white chalk paint from Rust-Oleum. I gave it two coats of paint. To give my Bee thumbnail more character I added some cute yellow and white polka dot scrapbook paper as the background of the frame. It was cut to size and added to the frame. Elmer's glue was used on the back of the bee thumbnail and then adhered to center of the scrapbook paper. My last step was dolling my frame up with a bow. I used some scrap ribbon and added a cute paper sunflower embellishment to the center of the bow. I attached the bow to the frame with hot glue. This little guy was so easy to make and is the perfect size to decorate my tiered tray. Make it your own by painting a mini frame in black and using different ribbons and embellishments. The ideas are endless. Here is the finished product beginning with the material photos.

On the second Diy I got lucky because there is a additional larger bee image on the back of the Dollar Tree calendar. Back last Fall Dollar Tree had these adorable frames with a beaded handle. I have used these on previous projects. With this project I used the same concept as the first one. Scrapbook paper again was used for background and the bee image was adhered to the center of the paper. A black and white gingham bow was added to top of the bee image. I adorned the center of it with a mini bee embellishment from my shop supplies. This makes a great accent to your Summer decor. Display it on a shelf, mantle, or kitchen counter.
