Another Dollar🌳 patriotic makeover

I'm having so much fun making patriotic diy's. The ideas never stop. I pulled this Dollar Tree table top plaque out of my craft closet. I purchased it back in January but couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with it till now. With Dollar Tree items being cheaply made it was very easy to remove the black lettering on the galvanized metal. Acetone worked perfect. My next step was painting the burlap that is attached to the plaque in a rustic blue. To create this color I added a little black acrylic paint to a basic blue. My next step was taking a large size wood star from Micheals and painting it in a rustic red. Same concept, basic red acrylic paint with a little black. The star was then attached to the galvanized metal with hot glue. To complete the project I cut out "USA" on my Cricut and attached it to the middle of the star. Easy Peasy project for sure and perfect accent to show your patriotism.
