Cute Hot Cocoa Sign Using a Cedar Grilling Plank And Cricut

This Diy is exclusively for anyone who owns a cutting machine.(Cricut, Silhouette, ect...)I'm a pricing manager at a grocery store. Can you believe I've been with my company for over 30 years. I find it completely insane. Well the perks with working in a retail score is scoring the reduced items. Since Summer started I had my eye on these cedar grilling planks. Decided to be patient and wait till there was a reduction in price. I lucked out because we finally put them on Summer clearance. Not a bad deal for $1.50, plus it's a 2 pk. The ideas are endless what you can do with them. My boyfriend on the other hand said I wasted my money because he could have cut me some pieces of wood. I have no patience waiting for him to cut me some wood. They are in my hand, they are ready to use and they were cheap!!! I'm buying them!!! My plan for this project was to create a Christmas sign. I recently purchased this adorable hot cocoa svg from a Etsy shop called Ewe-N-Me Designs. Love their work, definitely check them out. Once my svg was downloaded to my phone I saved it to my Cricut machine. I then measured the plank and came up with a size and cut the design on my Cricut. I did not use transfer tape for this project. Each word I did by hand with my Cricut tool. I also used different colored adhesive vinyl. When I finally completed it I added a cute coordinating ribbon to the bottom. This a great sign to rest on a mantle, shelf, or kitchen counter. Also a great accent for all of you that have a hot cocoa or coffee bar. Happy crafting everyone😍
