A suprise Diy! That seems to happen a lot with me. How I even came up with this one still amazes me. I have so many craft supplies that some just get lost in the mix. One of those items is a Dollar Tree chalkboard sign. Grabbed them from the store months ago but couldn't come up with a decent project idea. While pulling them from my craft drawer I was also looking at the famous Dollar tree galvanized wood frames. How ironic that the chalkboard piece on the sign was the exact measurements to the DT frame. My project then began to take shape. My main issue was trying to remove the chalkboard from the wood sign. It was not a easy feat. Thanks to all of Chris's crazy tools I was able to get it off. Some of the chalkboard finish chipped a little on bottom and top but that was a easy fix with a black sharpie. Next time I will recruit my bf to take it off. I then removed the galvanized metal from the Dollar Tree frame and replaced it with the chalkboard piece. I wanted to do something extra cute on this frame and peep bunnies were on my mind. I found some on Cricut Design Space that would work great. I then came up with a cute catchy saying to put on the frame. Looking through different font designs on the Design Space I found the perfect one. The font is called "Straight and Simple". Using white adhesive vinly I cut out my words and bunnies. Carefully I added them to my chalkboard piece. I wanted to doll the bunnies up so each one got a paper flower that I got from Micheals. I'm really loving the combination of Dollar tree items and Cricut projects together to create unique pieces.
