Dollar Tree Easter Frame

So for Christmas my boyfriend always gives me a big box of craft supplies. This year he added some unfinished wood frames that he custom made. For this project I decided to use one of the frames. This diy was definitely a suprise. After a few failed ideas this one emerged. I bought this Easter sign from Dollar Tree and really liked the carrots that dangled off it. I thought they would be perfect added to a frame. I loved that one of the materials I used for my project was right in my face. That item was the Dollar Tree vinyl top liner used for lining drawers and cabinets. Since this project is similar to a reverse canvas I though the vinyl would be perfect attached to the frame. I also liked the texture of it. The carrots looked real good against the liner. I first stained the frame. I played around with 3 colors till I got it to my liking. Once dry I cut the vinyl liner to fit the back of the frame. I then stapled the liner to the back of the frame. My last step was attaching the carrots to the liner with Elmer's glue. I'm really loving this Easter frame. It sure can be passed off as store bought.
