This took no time at all to do. Got lucky finding a piece of scrapwood in my bf's tool closet. It was the perfect size to spell out the words and incorporate the bells. The measurements on the wood piece is 16 1/2" long x 3" high. To begin I did two coats of white chalk paint by Waverly. The color is called Plaster. As soon as it was dry I used a damp rag to distress the wood. I did not want it completely white. I wanted accents of the wood grain to pop out giving it more of a rustic look. I also did a light sanding to distress it. The wood letters I purchased at Dollar🌳. It's very important to buy quite a few bags since there are no repeat letters. I took them outside and sprayed them red with Rust-Oleum paint. The decorative bells are from Dollar🌳 too. I sprayed then in a Chiffon cream from Rust-Oleum. Once everthing was dry I hot glued the letters and bells to the wood. This a great sign to display on a mantle or shelf. I plan on picking up a small set of battery operated lights and stringing them around all the sides of sign. Will see how that goes.
