Hobby Lobby Inspired Wood Decor

Desperate for new diys so I browse Hobby Lobby's site and found a item that I could certainly pull off. Bonus was I had all the items already at hand. My boyfriend made me several unfinished wood frames for Christmas. To begin the project I stained the frame in a Red Mahogany by Mini Wax. Got lucky and found a sweet piece of scrap wood that would be used as a base. I feel bad because my bf was planning on using that scrap piece for a project. He also had to make me aware it was Walnut and I shouldn't have stained it. Ha Ha give him a day a day or two and he will forget about it. For the background of the frame I used vinyl top liner from Dollar Tree. The style I used was called "Coastal Oak". You can see light brown swerves in the liner which I thought would pair well with the dark finish frame. The liner was tightly stapled to back of frame. My next step was cutting the words "Let's Stay Home" on my Cricut. Definitely the right quote for the times were in. Before adding letters to liner I hung the beaded garland to frame. Scored the bead garland at Hobby Lobby last year for a $1.99. Used hot glue to attach it to each side. My final step was using Elmer's glue to attach the base to frame. Sweet decorative piece that can be displayed pretty much anywhere. Stay safe everyone and "Let's Stay Home".
