Ha Ha how many Holiday signs do I need. I love creating these and especially with Dollar Tree items. So as soon as the Christmas items hit the Dollar Tree stores I stocked up quick. I picked up two of these craft tree forms. They list them as Diy signs on the tag. My last couple visits I've noticed they haven't been restocked so I assuming they are done. Just glad I got them ahead of time. A lot of my Diy's are suprise projects. Intending to make one thing and ending up making something completely different. That's what happened in this case. It pays to skim through all your craft materials, I have a tendency to forget I have them. So digging through my collection of scrapbook paper I happened upon this embossed print I picked up at Michaels a year ago. I originally bought it for a picture frame diy but ended up not using it. As soon as I placed it on the tree I knew it was a winner. So off to tracing it to the tree shape. I used mod podge to adhere it. It looked nice without any accents but decided to incorporate a Dollar tree ornament with the word "Peace". I wasn't a fan of the green pine needles accenting the ornament so I changed it up a bit and used white chalk paint to give it a flocking effect. The mini pinecones also got a light touching of paint. I then hot glued the ornament to the tree. My last accent to the tree was topping it with a Dollar Tree star diy wood sticker. It was originally gold but I lightly coated it with red acrylic paint to match the red in the peace ornament. To finalize the project the tree was hot glued to a
Walmart rustic style wood sign. I picked this up in their craft section. It measures 10"x12". Paid under $5 for it. Can definitely see this piece in a farmhouse style decor.
