In the process of getting my Patriotic Tier tray together. I've been creating a lot of small Diy's for it. This one was pretty simple. It's a mini 3x3 picture frame from Dollar Tree. I bought quite a few of these last Fall. My first step was spraying the frame in white linen chalk paint from Rust-Oleum. Once it was completely dry I used sandpaper to distress it. My next step was painting a Micheal's wood star in a shade of blue I created. Combination of basic blue and black acrylic paint. After the star was dry I used sandpaper to distress that too. The picture frame's background is patriotic scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby. It was cut to fit frame. My last step was gluing the wood star to the front of the frame right on the glass. Elmer's glue was used. Give it a couple hours to set. Definitely a perfect accent for a Patriotic tier tray or vignette display.
