Could my new Fall sign not be so true. Fall surely brings Happiness. I would be happy with this season year round. So my new sign is right in time for the start of Fall, officially tomorrow. To create the sign I did the Reverse Canvas Technique on a Dollar Tree 8x10 stretched canvas. To start the project off I removed the white canvas with a razor blade and put it to the side. The unfinished frame was then sanded and stained. Once the frame was completely dry I reattached the canvas to back with a staple gun. This project definitely had some trials and errors. Cutting the right size word image from my Cricut took the most time. Measurements and sizing are not my forte. After printing the image I chose on Cricut Design Space four times🤣 I finally got the right size that worked with the frame. I also had to save room for my pumpkin garland. The garland was put on before the lettering. The garland was a combination of beads, Dollar Tree diy pumpkin stickers (leftover from last year) and Dt Baker's Twine. The beads were fed in patterns of orange and natural wood. I picked out all the small orange beads from the Dollar Tree package. The wood beads I got from Hobby Lobby. Inbetween the patterned beads I glued the pumpkins to the twine. Almost forgot to mention I painted the pumpkin stems in a truffle brown to make them stand out more on garland. The garland ends were tucked under the canvas and came out through the sides of the frame. I used some hot glue to attach the twine ends to back of frame. Make sure to use a generous amount of twine so it reaches back for attachment. After my garland was where I wanted it I spent the rest of the time making sure to place my vinyl letters perfectly on the canvas. I used orange and black vinyl adhesive for the Fall saying. Really pleased with the final results. It is proudly displayed on my kitchen counter ready for the Start Of Fall🍂🍂🍂
