How cute are these. I'm pretty stocked on the Dollar🌳 galvanized wood frames. They are pretty small and measure 4 1/2" x 6". I've used them in so many projects. The ideas are limitless. The flag frame was created by painting the flag directly on the galvanized metal insert. Before the painting process I removed the clip that was attached to the metal. To distract the hole I covered it with aluminum foil. Tape was placed over foil to keep it in place. I mixed several acrylic paint colors to create a more rustic look instead of the traditional. Painter's tape was used to create the stripes and the corner blue square. To finish off the flag I painted a wood star from Micheals in white. It was hot glued to the blue square. The second frame was super simple. Painted several small wood stars in red, blue and white. Once dry they were hot glued directly to the galvanized metal. These small frames were be perfect displayed on a mantle or shelf.
