Red Truck Christmas Decor Frame created with Dollar Tree items

Time for a Christmas Diy. I was super excited to see some Christmas items in my local Dollar Tree. I didn't go to crazy but did find a few items that had my light bulb going off. One in particular was this gift box with a ribbon handle. They had a variety of Holiday themes and came in two different sizes. I decided to get both sizes to be on the safe side. The design that grabbed my attention was the popular vintage red truck with the fresh trees in the back. I really didn't think I would be already starting a diy with this item but after yesterday's score I couldn't resist. After visiting the post office I stopped in a Dollar Tree that I seldom go to. I was pretty impressed with their stock and even more impressed when I found these awesome Fall frames with a beaded handle. I couldn't contain myself and ended up buying six of them. I was so excited to get home hoping one of the gift boxes would work with the frame. My hoping and praying paid off, the smaller box was the perfect fit. The gift box has the vintage red truck image on both sides which is a plus. They are slightly different because the truck in front is a red foil texture while the other is it's original printed color. You will see the difference in the trucks when you feed down this blog to the photos. I measured the frame and then carefully cut the box on all sides till it was completely flat. I then measured the truck image to the frame making sure everything was centered correctly. The cut image was then placed in frame and the original piece was used for the backing of the frame. Easy peasy for sure. I decided to do two frames using the different truck images. On one frame I left the bead handle and on the other I removed it. Each were dolled up with bows I created with scrap ribbon and rafia. I love how these turned out. No effort and they surely look store bought.

Could these materials be anymore simpler. Hardest part is hoping they have them at your Dollar Tree.
