St Patty's decor frame

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

Absolutely in love with this. Pretty easy project to whip together. While shopping at Dollar Tree for St Patty items I saw this dual hanging wall sign. The center had a dangler that said "Happy St Patrick's Day," I knew I could remove that and incorporate it in either a wood plank sign or frame. I bought a few Dollar Tree printed art frames a few weeks ago so I was crossing fingers that one would be the right size. Turns out it was a perfect match with the dangler. Next I needed scrapbook paper that would serve as a background. I went through a variety of styles till I found the right one. It was cut to fit frame. So before adding the scrapbook paper I decided the frame would pop more if I distressed it. A nice coat of Waverly chalk paint was added. I used a paper towel and paint brush to get the distressing to my liking. Next I removed the dangler from the Dollar Tree St Patty's sign. Since the top had a small hole in it I covered it with a diamond adhesive and added another to bottom to serve as a accent too. The sign was then hot glued to front of glass. Using jute twine I made a cute bow. Dollar Tree beads were added to center of bow to give it a sweet touch. The bow was then hot glued to top of frame.

This is definitely going on my wall mantle for St Patty's. In love🍀
