Yes I drank 24 bottles of wine( took about 5 months) I always save my corks in a bag. You never know when your going to use them. I got the idea for the wine cork pumpkin on Pinterest. So with all my projects I like to think outside the box. My goal for this project was to put my own twist on it and make it a little different then the norm. I think I pulled it off. Most of the instructions call for you to paint the front of the corks before attaching. I opted out that. Since I was using a variety of acrylic colors I wanted to see how it looked while putting them together. No rhyme or reason on my colors. Kept them random. It is very very important to glue all sides and bottoms. You need generous amounts of glue in order for this to stay together. I also recommend gluing all the cracks and crevices in the back of pumpkin. All the ideas I saw on Pinterest used a half of a wine cork for the stem. I decided to use a cinnamon stick. My grocery store has a international section that has huge cinnamon sticks. The sticks were longer then what I wanted for a stem so cutting it was a bit of a challenge. Took my time because a few just basically crumbled up. All my floral accents are a combination of different stems from Dollar🌳 I'll have to admit I love how it turned out.
