So once you kinda follow me on the groups and maybe just maybe recognize my name you will see that I'm not one to post the popular diy's that consume the group feeds. Rarely do I ever jump the bandwagon. In this rare instance I did. However this what not planned. I was pretty much done with V-day diy's. On my recent visit to Dollar Tree I noticed they had several new V-day items that I hadn't been able to score when I began my decorating. I happened upon the Love sign that all the group members are going ga ga for. Everyday when I scroll down my group feed I get to see those lovely Love signs. Everyone has their own twist. I grabbed one anyway. My intentions were to lay it in the closet and possibly save for next year. Well let's just say I was bored. I decided to give it a shot. I picked some scrapbook paper that I hadnt seen on anyone else's projects. I thought it was the perfect paper to make this diy my own. It's actually quite deceiving because it looks like real rustic wood. Once the paper was traced, cut and mod podged my next monster was figuring out how to decorate it without going too overboard. Simple I am. So back in forth in my craft drawer trying everything I could imagine that would work with this project. After about a hour I found my perfect match. Dollar tree has these Diy heart stickers and the whimsical pink ones seemed like the perfect fit. It took a little while to figure out how I was going to position them. I also wanted them to stand out more by adding additional accents. So the trio emerged, one pink diy sticker, a pink glittered foam heart and a pearl sticker plopped in middle. So once it was complete I really wasn't excited about it. Just a average project to me. I wasn't even going to post on group. Well I did and to my suprise it got quite the reaction. I'm still not impressed. Not MY favorite project but it seemed to be a hit to my fellow group members.
